WHAT TO WEAR: Key to the Cure Gala

Curated by Estilo owner Stephanie Coultress O'Neill

Get ready for a fun night at the Key to the Cure Gala on November 18. Enjoy a great meal prepared by Celebrity Chef Tim Love and musical entertainment provided by the Sugar Hill Gang at Brazos Hall downtown.

This event sells out every year at 500 guests, and is sponsored by Vista Equity Partners, benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

For our first look, we wanted to show off the popular trend of the midi dress, a dress that hits just above the calf. The midi-dress trend can be worn in a form-fitting shape or with a fuller skirt, as shown here.

It’s a really popular way to dress up your look from a typical day dress without going over the top dressy. This is a casual and typical “Austin chic” party. We paired it with a dressier clutch and diamond bangles from Mizana. Diamonds ARE a girls best friend!

This dress is also great because the detailing of the cut-outs and fringy trim on this black dress make it anything but basic.

Studio Lace Dress $385, Kim White Clutch $175, Mizana Bangle $6,800, Mizana Bangle $2950

For the second look, we pulled this amazing Acler dress. It is also a midi-dress, hitting just below the knees, but in a form fitting manner. The draping of this dress is unbelievable, and hugs the body in just the right places.

This dress also follows the trend of showing just a bit of shoulder on one side. The material has a great knubby texture. Nude pumps pull the outfit together and diamond stud earrings from Mizana dress it up.

Acler Dress $498, Schultz Gilbert Pump $170, Mizana Diamond Studs $2,995

All of these looks and more can be found at Estilo, 2727 Exposition Blvd #121, Austin, TX 78703.
