What to Wear: Guys and Girls Looks for ACL Festival
You have your wristbands purchased, schedule set and are ready for this weekend’s Austin City Limits Festival – now comes finding the perfect outfit mixing fashionable and comfortable. Laurel Kinney from Trophy Boutique helps us with styled outfits for both the guys and gals.
1. Necklace, Pamela Love. 2. Necklace, Vanessa Mooney. 3. Denim Shirt, Madewell. 4. Scarf, Forever 21. 5. Vintage Print Skirt, free people. 6. Cowboy Boots, Volatile. 7. Bag, Eric Javits. 8. Hat, Urban Outfitters.
ACL is the perfect time to layer up your vintage and rocker items for a comfortable and fun festival outfit.
For the ladies, I love the idea of wearing a knee-length circle skirt instead of cutoffs for a fun way to twirl around and still be able to sit on the ground if you want to. There’s no shortage of vintage skirts in this town, either – try Feathers or Charm School Vintage for great festival-ready options.
1. Map Handkerchief, MUJI. 2. Sunglasses, Super (sold at Service Menswear). 3. Vintage Tee, Wolfgang’s Vault. 4. Corduroys, Citizens of Humanity. 5. Watch, Nixon (sold at Service Menswear) 6. Boots, HELM. 7. Cross-body Bag, Jack Spade. 8. Button-Down, Urban Outfitters.
For the guys, you’ll fit right in with a vintage tee. Try corduroys instead of jeans if it’s hot, they can actually be lighter-weight and come in lots of colors.
And whatever you do, don’t forget a scarf or kerchief. It gets super dusty (you’ll thank me).
