On Thursday, April 27th, the 19th annual UMLAUF Garden Party welcomed over 800 guests to the sculpture garden for an event aptly themed “Under a Texas Sky.” Twenty-five restaurants served delicious bites while Twin Liquors showcased some of the season’s best bubbles and wines.
The museum raised more than $300,000 in its biggest fundraiser of the year, all under the direction of Executive Director Nina Seely and Allyson Maxey, the 2017 Garden Party Chair. All funds raised contribute to the organization’s efforts at cultivating art, culture and community through educational programming and stimulating exhibitions at the UMLAUF.
Garden Party attendees were able to view the current exhibition, Mentoring a Muse: Charles Umlauf and Farrah Fawcett, which is on displaythrough August 20, 2017. As the beautiful evening continued, the Nash Hernandez Orchestra got many guest out on the dance floor, enhancing what was already a lovely springtime soiree.
SPOTTED: Lance Avery Morgan and Rob Giardinelli, Mary and Rusty Tally, Sandra Spalding, Kelly Moser and Justin Baugh, Weston Lipscom, Kathleen Seiders, Denise Silverman, Katie Netherton, Christi Cuellar Lotz and many others!
