RECAP: Key to the Cure

Benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Key To The Cure, benefiting the Central Texas chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, was held on a recent Friday and drew close to 500 people to the annual tasting event at Brazos Hall.

This year’s celebrity chef was Tim Love of Lonesome Dove fame, who designed a menu that was far and away one of the best ever presented at a local fundraiser. When all was said and done, the event raised $330,000 for cystic fibrosis research and care.

The evening included a live auction and entertainment by legendary hip-hop stars the Sugar Hill Gang, which definitely got the crowd up and on its feet!

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The organization funds more research than any other organization. Their focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with cystic fibrosis and ultimately to find a cure.
