Judging by the look of the full ballroom at the JW Marriott Tuesday morning, the Celebration of Life Luncheon has been embraced by our fair city. Benefiting the Seton Breast Care Center and the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, the event pulled out all the stops — including tightly curated pop-up shops, a Fiat raffle, a chic fashion show and a tasty luncheon.
Honorary event chairs Mary Ann Heller, Donna Stockton Hicks and Patti Rogers were recognized just before the standout crowd of movers & shakers was treated to “The Art of Fashion,” a Spring/Summer 2016 runway presentation from Neiman Marcus. Frequent “oohs” and “ahhs” erupted from the crowd as the models made their way through the room.
Along with all the lighthearted fun came a very timely (and effective) message about raising funds for breast cancer care. KVUE anchor Terri Gruca emceed the program, which highlighted personal observances of those lost and those in the midst of their own fight.
Conceived by community stalwarts Susan Lubin and Marcia Levy, the Seton Breast Care Center has provided thousands of services to women at their state-of-the-art facility since its founding. The center includes imaging technology and a multi-disciplinary approach to providing personalized treatment and support to patients and their loved ones.
