More than 650 people packed The Grand Ballroom at the JW Marriott recently for the 19th Celebration of Life luncheon benefiting the Seton Breast Care Center and the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. This year’s theme, “Where Hope Takes Flight,” celebrated the life-saving care given to patients.
Co-chairs for the luncheon included Maria Groten, Cynthia Harkness, Rachel Jamail and Mary Herr Tally. The honorary co-chairs for the luncheon were First Lady Cecilia Abbott, Seton Breast Care Center cofounder Susan Lubin and early supporter of the Center, Lisa Youngblood.
Once again, a highlight of the event was Neiman Marcus‘ “The Art of Fashion” featuring four haute couture fashion scenes — everything embellished, stripes, ruffles and neutrals. The show featured designers Marc Jacobs, Brunello Cucinelli, Etro, Alice & Olivia, Derek Lam, Milly and Roberto Cavalli. Le Métier de Beauté provided makeup for the models and this year’s emcee, Pam Crowther.
The Seton Breast Care Centeris the only center of its kind in Austin. It provides state-of-the-art imaging technology and, for those who are diagnosed with cancer, a multi-disciplinary approach to providing personalized treatment and support to patients and their loved ones.
SPOTTED at the luncheon were local luminaries like Kathy Blackwell, Jennifer Carnes, Laura Craddick, Cassie LaMere, Marcia Levy, Carla McDonald, Andrea Mc Williams and Madison McWilliams, Stephanie Coultress O’Neil, Ana Rueles and Rusty Tally, among others.
