The POP Austin International Art Show is back with a weekend filled with everything art. For its third year, POP Austin has returned to Austin’s Fair Market, bringing world-class fine art, sculpture, photography, digital and light-based art to Central Texas.
The gallery is open every day from 1o am – 6pm, and features artists including Andy Warhol, Brandon Boyd (lead vocalist of Incubus), Roy Lichtenstein, and many more. Boyd was spotted Thursday mingling among guests at the Collector’s Preview, benefiting Texas Cultural Trust.
The weekend schedule also features a mix of parties and talks including:
- Screening and after-party for “Wall Writers,” a feature-length documentary about graffiti in its innocence on Friday, October 14.
- An evening dedicated to the artist duo, Nonotak Studio in conjunction with the THINKERY on Saturday, October 15 to showcase art that merges architecture and sculpture to create light and sound installations.
- POP Talks, the popular educational and engagement series on October 15 and 16.
