Jeffrey's Bagel Brunch, UMLAUF Presents Bernstein 100 Austin, Earthquake Relief dinner at El Naranjo, AYC FAVE Awards, Searsucker's Cans & Jams, Ultimate Bartending Championship

FOOD: This Sunday, September 24th, Jeffrey’s on West Lynn presents the return of its Bagel Brunch from 11:30a.m.–2p.m. Highlights will include wood-fired bagels, an assortment of smoked fish & spreads, fresh baked pastries, Stumptown Single Origin coffee service, guest Baristas and more. Tickets are $40 per person with additional $60 caviar service available .

ARTS: On Sunday, November 12th, the UMLAUF presents a preview of Bernstein 100 Austin, a production premiering in June of 2018. Guests of UMLAUF Presents Bernstein 100 Austin will enjoy a live performance by Mela Dailey, Stefanie Moore, Kathlene Ritch, Laura Mercado-Wright and Austin Symphony Conductor Peter Bay, who will emcee the event. Following the performance guests will also be treated to craft cocktails, wine and an intimate dinner prepared by Juliet Italian Kitchen Executive Chef Jacob Weaver and his team. Tickets start at $150 and can be purchased online.

CHARITY: On Thursday, September 28th El Naranjo Chef Iliana De La Vega, together with guest Chef Gabriel Ibarra, Executive Chef from Cappy’s, Cappyccino and La Fonda on Main in San Antonio, will be hosting a dinner to raise funds for earthquake relief in Oaxaca and Mexico City. The three-course dinner includes agave spirits and wine pairings for $75 per person, with two seatings at 5pm and 7pm. All proceeds, less tax and tip, will be donated to Citibanamex Compromiso Social which seeks to aid in Oaxaca and Mexico City earthquake relief and will matched dollar for dollar by Citibanamex Compromiso Social. COMMUNITY: Early bird ticket sales for Austin Young Chamber‘s FAVE Awards end tonight, so be sure to purchase tickets for the November 10 event before midnight. The FAVE (Favorite Austin Venture or Enterprise) Awards are hosted by young professionals and honor businesses who support the young professionals community. CHARITY: The Colorado St. mainstay, Searsucker, announced that their new monthly live music series “Cans & Jams“, kicks off on Sunday, September 24th with a special edition featuring Austin brewery Oskar Blues. From 3-6pm guests will enjoy live music from Bob n’ Sammie and 18 Karat, discounted cans, swag giveaways, and a pig roast-style menu. $1 of each can purchased will be donated to the brewery’s CAN’d Aid Foundation in direct support of their Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

COMPETITION: Tales of the Cocktail and Monkey Shoulder present the Ultimate Bartender Championship on Tuesday, September 26th from 4-6 p.m. at Nickel City. The event is open to the public and includes complimentary iMonkey Shoulder cocktails. 25 Austin bartenders will compete in five rounds of challenges and will be judged by experts from the the previous day’s Behind Bars seminar. The top competitor from the event will win a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2018 Tales on Tour, a five day premier cocktail festival.
