Project Beauty at Neiman Marcus, Prisoner Wine Tasting at Fixe, Crisis of Music in Austin Keynote, Paramount Theatre's Summer Classic Film Series Finale, Brunch at Bullfight

FASHION: Get in the swing for Fall 2016 with Neiman Marcus and MasterCard as they present Project Beauty on September 17th. A full beauty and fashion presentation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Level Two of the store on Palm Way in the Domain. Seats for the show can be reserved for $25 (which includes a $25 gift card) by calling 512.719.1200. Use your MasterCard to secure a $50 NM gift card.

FOOD: On September 14th Fixe will host a special Daily Social with The Prisoner Wine Company from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The event is $25 per person and includes both bites from the Fixe kitchen and tastings of select wines. Special pricing on bottles will also be  available. Guests are encouraged to call 512.888.9133 to make are reservation or book online with a note about attending the event.

MUSIC: The Front Porch is hosting “The Crisis in Austin Music with Ted Gioia” on September 15th from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Austin leaders including Mayor Steve Adler, along with Jennifer Houlihan (executive director, Austin Music People) and Will Bridges (venue operator/Arlyn Studios co-owner), among others, will be on hand to address the state of the local music scene. The event is free and open to the public.  

FILM: The Summer Classic Film Series celebrates its closing weekend at the Paramount Theatre by partnering with The Driskill for a food + film extravaganza. The Driskill Grill will offer a special Texas-themed menu following the screening of Giant on Saturday, September 3 and a chocolate cake and champagne toast to Gone with the Wind on Sunday, September 4.

FOOD: Bullfight, Chef Shawn Cirkiel’s Central Austin eatery serving modernized preparations of beloved Spanish classics, is now offering weekend brunch service. The new brunch will be available over the Labor Day holiday weekend, featuring an array of Spanish-style and classic cocktails, sangria and cerveza.
