Our Spooky Halloween Edition

ENTERTAINMENT: Get your costume ready for the Treaty Oak Distilling “Escape to Zombie Island” Halloween Party this Saturday. Treaty Oak Distilling will have a full day of festivities at its ranch with a costume competition for kids judged at 6pm and for adults judged at 8pm, zombie face painting, haunted hayrides, and great live music from Choctaw Wildfire, from 4 to 6pm, and Chili Cold Blood from 7 pm – 9 pm. Free admission.

ENTERTAINMENT: Celebrate Dia de los Muertos this weekend at W Austin with complimentary tastings from Milagro Tequila & El Silencio Mezcal, face painting, flower stations, mariachis and more! The party will spread between the Living Room Bar and TRACE Outdoor Lounge, Friday & Saturday from 9 pm – 2 am.

ENTERTAINMENT: The annual ZOMBIE BALL is back for it’s 8th year October 29th at ACL Live. The evening’s entertainment includes performances by Morris Day and The Time with The Suffers, bloody burlesque & aeriel acrobatics from S&S Productions and Fat Bottom Cabaret, Parade of the Undead, and DJ Johnny Slugg keeping the party going. Tickets are $40-$50.

Join them for a Prince tribute dance party on the ACL Live Music Porch after the show with DJ GirlFriend. The after party is free and open to all.

ENTERTAINMENT: Lick Honest Ice Creams is celebrating its five-year anniversary by throwing its first ever Ladies of the ’80s Birthday Bash on Friday, October 28 at Spider House Ballroom. The all-night dance party begins at 9 pm and will include ’80s music by DJ Mahealani, themed cocktails, a silent auction, a photo booth, a costume contest, and drag performances. All proceeds made from tickets ($10) and onsite silent auction items will benefit Hill Country Ride for AIDS and its beneficiaries.

ENTERTAINMENT: Bring your best 70s mobster swagger to Kitty Cohen‘s over Halloween Weekend, October 28th & 29th, as they gussy up in Copacabana 1977 style. Live Barry Manilow-esque piano grooves, cocktail specials, culinary pop-up and gangster vibes all around.

ENTERTAINMENT: Celebrate Austin’s parks and the season of witches with the Halloween Spelltacular special showing of Hocus Pocus benefiting Austin Parks Foundation! The night features more than just a show. Enjoy broom races, food trucks featuring spooky treats, a candy corn wading pool and Westen Broghesi as DJ Skellyton. The whole party is BYOB. Tickets are $20. $5 for children.
