FOOD: Uchi will host a brunch pop up on Sunday, December 11th, benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank. The Brunch Omakase will consist of a multi-course chef’s tasting menu designed by Chef de Cuisine Michael Castillo and Pastry Chef Emily Davis. ENTERTAINMENT: Tis the season and AWAY Spa at W Austin brings back their annual holiday shopping party on Thursday, December 8. Head to the spa from 6-9pm and treat yourself with an evening of complimentary mini-treatments, sips, and bites, while you cross off a few items on your holiday shopping list with pop-ups from local brands.
FITNESS: New East Austin yoga studio Stretch will open its doors on Friday, December 2 and bring a unique, boutique-style yoga studio to the growing neighborhood. To celebrate the opening and encourage neighbors to try out the studio, Stretch will offer every class, every day for free during the entire month of December. A grand opening party will follow at the start of the New Year.
ENTERTAINMENT: This season, South Congress Hotel‘s brings you weekly Winter Workshops, presented by Event Vines. The South Congress Hotel Lobby Bar will host this event every Wednesday for festive drink & snack specials as guests create lush holiday wreaths, decoupage tree ornaments, and more. All skills levels welcome. Tickets are $35 per person and include an instructor-led workshop, all necessary crafting materials and free valet parking.
MUSIC: The Black Fret Black Ball is back at The Paramount Theatre on Saturday, December 10 to announce the 2016 grant recipients and celebrate with a night of music. Anyone wishing to attend the Black Ball may become a member of Black Fret by signing up at www.blackfret.org/join. All Black Fret memberships are annual and provide entry for the member and a guest to monthly Black Fret events.
