Japanese Red Cross Society Benefit at Otoko, Driscoll Villa 100th Celebration, National Trails Day

FOOD: A portion of all June 2016 tickets to Otoko will benefit the Japanese Red Cross Society, an organization working to rebuild communities devastated by recent earthquakes in Kumamoto prefecture, where Otoko sources the hamachi featured on its menu. ARTS: On Sunday, May 15th Israeli artist Ronen Sharaban will transform the exterior of the The Contemporary Austin‘s Driscoll Villa at Laguna Gloria with a multimedia work of art commissioned in honor of the building’s 100-year anniversary. The performance will loop from 8 pm t0 11 pm for one night only. The performance is free and open to the public.

NONPROFIT: As part of the June 4th “National Trails Day” GenWaller, the Waller Creek Conservancy’s young leaders group, invites the public to explore and clean up the urban trail along Waller Creek. The event will focus on the area north of 6th Street up to Waterloo Park. Register here.
