Sway Songkran Dinner, ModCloth IRL Tour, KUTX Live Free Music Series, Una Noche Especial, Derby in the City

FOOD: Sway is beginning their celebration of Songkran – Thai New Year – with a multi-course ticketed preview dinner by Executive Chef Martin Wilda on Monday, April 11th. Tickets are $75 per person and proceeds from the event will benefit Austin’s Meals on Wheels, one of Central Texas’ largest meal delivery programs for homebound older adults and people with disabilities.

FASHION: ModCloth, the online retailer for hundreds of independent designers, is bringing their virtual store to life with their ModCloth IRL Tour. Their first stop on the tour is Austin (April 8th – May 30th) and located at 249 W. 2nd Street. The pop-up shop is already accepting appointments.

ENTERTAINMENT: KUTX Live Free Music Series is back at Uncle Billy’s each Sunday this spring with live music from up and coming artists. Enjoy brunch specials all day, a special firkin tapping, and a DJ before the band.

COCKTAILS: Mezcalería Tobalá, the Oaxacan-style mezcal bar located upstairs from Whisler’s is hosting a special night — Una Noche Especial. Free and open to the public, the Una Noche Especial event is a rare opportunity to sample a hand-picked selection of single-village mezcals. Wednesday, April 13 at 8 p.m.

ENTERTAINMENT: The annual Derby in the City Music Festival at the Austin American Statesman is back Saturday, May 7th, and they announced their 2016 musical line-up. Houndmouth, Jamestown Revival, The Wind and The Wave and more will be hitting the stage before and after the race! Tickets are on sale now and benefit Open My World Therapeutic Riding Center.
