ARTS: Waller Creek Conservancy announced the dates for their 2016 Creek Show, November 10-19. The annual public art exhibit will feature five local architects, designers and landscape designers, each creating illuminated installations transforming the creek. Creek Show is free and open nightly from 6 pm to 10 pm.
CHARITY: On Sunday, July 31 Uncle Billy’s and Tito’s Handmade Vodka and its charitable arm, Vodka for Dog People, will host a fundraising Yappy Hour benefitting Austin Dog Rescue on National Mutt Day. It will be a fun afternoon with treats for the dogs, puppy pools, live music from Shawn Pander, and drink specials on dog-themed cocktails made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, as well as Uncle Billy’s Beers.
FASHION: Teddies for Bettys, Austin’s premier destination for everyday lingerie and loungewear announces its second retail location, opening at Domain NORTHSIDE this fall. Larger than the 2nd Street location, the space will be available for special events and private fittings for larger parties – from bachelorette parties to birthdays, and beyond.
CHARITY: Austin nonprofit Black Fret set the date for the third annual Black Ball Gala taking place on Saturday, December 10th at The Paramount Theatre. The gala is a night of music and the 2016 grant recipients will be announced that evening.
