FASHION: This year marks the 10th anniversary of Fashion X Austin and Fashion Week Austin, and they are kicking off 2018 with a first-ever Lone Star Fashion Show, Friday, February 2. Designers for the night will be representing cities around the state: Gail Chovan for Austin, Mysterious by NPN for Houston and Nha Khanh for Dallas. Tickets are on sale now and range between $75-150
FOOD: The seventh annual Somms Under Fire is back on January 28th at the AT&T Conference Center. Three of the best wine professionals in the country will match wines with dishes prepared by the executive chef of The Carillon restaurant in front of a panel of expert judges. The audience tastes the wine and food pairings right along with the judges. VIP tickets are sold out, but General Admission tickets are $75 and still available
FASHION: Everyone’s favorite weekend of shopping – Le Garage Sale – returns on January 27-28. The two days features amazing deals from 100+ local boutiques, online retailers & designers. Tickets are $10 per day and VIP pre-shop tickets are $20.
FOOD: Recent freezing in Central Texas has negatively impacted many local farms’ crops. To help offset the impact of the bad weather, Round Rock Honey is donating $5 for each bottle sold of its Round Rock Reserve Bourbon Barrel Honey to benefit the Texas Farmers Market’s Farmers Emergency Relief Fund. Additionally, a handful of Austin restaurants and bars will be creating special dishes and cocktails with the honey to help raise funds. Current spots include: Craftsman, Fixe, Jack Allen’s Kitchen, Searsucker, TRACE, Uchi, and Uchiko.
