La Condesa OCHO Party, The Moody Amphitheater, Symbiosis at South Congress Hotel, SoulCycle Downtown Austin

FOOD: It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since La Condesa opened their doors and the team is throwing a February fiesta – OCHO – to celebrate. La Condesa’s private event space, Malverde, will open up for the event, Saturday, February 11th from 8 pm to midnight! The party free  with tunes by DJ Chicken George and drinks available at the cash bar. Executive Chef Rick Lopez has also created an anniversary menu that will be available during dinner service from Thursday, February 9th to Saturday, February 11th. RSVP here.

COMMUNITY: The Waller Creek Conservancy announced a $15-million grant from The Moody Foundation to support the revitalization of Waller Creek into a connected chain of parks in downtown Austin. The gift will fund the creation of The Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park, which will accommodate 5,000 attendees for concerts, and educational, cultural, and performing arts events. They will break ground later this year, with a projected opening to the public in 2019.

ARTS: Celebrate collaboration, creation and community tonight, February 9th, with Symbiosis, a showcase of artworks by multidisciplinary artists Bob SchneiderGareth Maguire at South Congress Hotel.  Entry is free, with a portion of bar sales benefiting  The Nobelity Project. Enjoy music by DJ Manolo Black, plus drink specials & complimentary light bites. RSVP for entry.

FITNESS: SoulCycle Downtown Austin opens next week, Tuesday, February 14th, and the opening week schedule is now available to book. The new studio is located at the base of the Frost Bank building at 401 Congress Avenue. Next weekend, SoulCycle Downtown will host an opening celebration with a photo booth, snacks, juices and more – Saturday, February 18th.
