Holy Roller Pie Eating Contest, We Are Blood 12 Days of Giving, Salty Sow Homegrown By Heroes Lunch, 2ND Street Holiday Social, Interior Define x PHLUR Holiday Pop-Up, Austin Parks Foundation 'Elf' Screening at Trail of Lights

FOOD: Chef Callie Speer and her team at Holy Roller will welcome some of the city’s most prominent chefs and culinary personalities for a Pie Eating ContestTuesday, December 12th. Guests will be able participate by placing bets on who might win – with 100% of the proceeds from the raffle tickets sold benefiting SAFE. Raffle tickets from the winning chefs’ bucket will be drawn for awesome prizes!

NONPROFIT: We Are Blood kicks off their 12 Days of Giving – a special holiday giveaway between December 11 and 22 for any person who gives blood or attempts to give blood at any We Are Blood donation locations. Every day’s prize will be a fun surprise and includes items like a getaway to San Antonio, gift cards to Austin’s favorite restaurants, unique city experiences, and more.

FOOD: Starting Thursday, December 7th, Salty Sow will sell Wagyu burgers and meatloaf sandwiches on the patio from 11 am – 2 pm every Thursday and Friday. Each will be sold for $12, and a portion of proceeds are being donated to Homegrown By Heroes, a USDA-approved label and part of the Farmer Veteran Coalition recognizing veteran-owned operations.

ENTERTAINMENT: 2ND Street District is celebrating the season of giving with the return of 2ND Street Social, on Thursday, December 14th. Experience the most wonderful time of the year  with free sips and offerings in the District from 5-8 pm, including a special prix fixe dinner by La Condesa.

SHOPPING: PHLUR, the Austin-based online fragrance company is launching a trio of sustainable candles, which will be sold at Interior Define’s Guideshop at the Domain NORTHSIDE through December 24. They are launching the pop-up with a free kick-off party Thursday, December 7th from 7-9 pm. Enjoy music, beverages, light bites and a $1,000 giveaway!

HOLIDAY: Austin Parks Foundation‘s hosts a fun holiday screening of Elf during the beloved annual Austin Trail of Lights on Tuesday, December 19th at 8pm. The screening of the film, as well as Trail of Lights general admission, will be free and open to the public.
