Carnaval Brasileiro Tickets On Sale, The Brewer’s Table Pop-Up at Olamaie, Jim Hodges and Dan Rather in Conversation, Austin Music Foundation's Feel the Love

FESTIVALS: Tickets are now on sale for the 40th anniversary of Austin’s Carnaval Brasileiro. Held on February 25, 2017, at the Palmer Event Center, this local tradition has a history stretching back four decades! For more information call 512-452-6832 or check out Carnaval’s website.

FOOD: The Brewer’s Table will be taking over the space at Olamaie for a special pop-up dinner series, December 28 – 30. Open to the public by reservation only through Resy, the event will provide an “early taste” of the food from their highly anticipated restaurant and brewery.

ARTS: In conjunction with the large-scale sculpture With Liberty and Justice for All (A Work in Progress) being installed on the roofline of The Contemporary Austin‘s  Jones Center location, the artist Jim Hodges will discuss his work with journalist Dan Rather.  Tune to Austin Public Channel 10 / AT&T U-verse cable 99 or live stream at austinpublic.org. The public is also invited to a happy hour and watch party at the AFS Screening Room at Austin Studios, 1901 East 51st Street.

CHARITY: Austin Music Foundation announced that their music industry expo, “Feel the Love”, is back for its third year Wednesday, February 8 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Emo’s. The evening will be hosted by Matt Reilly, Program Director of KUTX and is free and open to the public. In addition to their third annual music industry expo, AMF is also very proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Artist Development Program,  helping emerging artists for the next step in their careers.
