Prohibition Creamery New Hours and Menu Items, Low Down Violet Crown: Austin Rocks The Blues, Studio 54rklift for Forklift Danceworks

FOOD: Prohibition Creamery, everyone’s favorite new boozy ice cream shop has announced new hours, a new Mezcal Vanilla ice cream and Mimosa Sundays. Laura Aidan‘s delicious creation is now open until midnight Tuesday through Sunday, with Happy Hour taking place Tuesday – Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The new Mezcal Vanilla combines El Silencio Espadín mezcal with sweet vanilla bean flecks for a delicious, frozen treat with a smokey finish. Ummm…yum!

MUSIC: “Low Down Violet Crown: Austin Rocks the Blues,” the newly revamped ALL ATX  fundraiser takes place on September 29th at ACL Live. Benefiting Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, SIMS Foundation, Austin Music Foundation and Black Fret, the concert will be headlined by The Doobie Brothers and performances from Bob Schneider, James McMurtry, Guy Forsyth, Nakia, Jackie Venson,Walker Lukens, among others. NONPROFIT: Get ready to catch disco fever as Studio 54klift takes over the Scottish Rite Theater on August 27th. The longstanding fundraiser for Forklift Danceworks promises a night filled with great tunes by Tigre Liu and DJ Mahaelani, tasty food, delicious drinks and a now-famous “late night snack” from Homeslice Pizza. Tickets are available online and at the door.
