MUSIC: The Wine Down, a monthly music series featuring bites and pop-up shops from 2nd St. District businesses, kicks off April 27th. The always popular happy hour continues the last Wednesday of each month through September at 3TEN ACL Live. The Wine Down is presented by Ruffino and benefits the Austin Music Foundation.
FOOD: The seventh annual East Austin Urban Farm Tour is back Sunday, April 17, from 1-5 PM at Boggy Creek, HausBar, Rain Lily and Springdale farms. The springtime sip and stroll open house will feature chefs from more than 20 of Austin’s most beloved restaurants providing bites created from the freshest farm ingredients, while local brewers, wine merchants and mixologists offer sips.
CHARITY: Hiatus Spa + Retreat celebrates Earth Month all through April by asking guests to “Spa for Charity:Water.” Special treatments and pricing on Essential Services, plus an in-spa fundraising raffle with prizes featuring over 50 Hiatus treatments will benefit charity: water, a nonprofit delivering clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries.
EDUCATION: Justine’s Brasserie hosts the annual Petite Ecole Internationale spring soiree on April 19th, from 7-10PM. Ombre et Lumière will raise money for the Petite Ecole Internationale scholarship fund, with all proceeds earmarked for need-based educational scholarships.
