L’Oca d’Oro, Dell Children’s Believe Gala, Official Drink of Austin, Deep Eddy Distillery Concert Series, Hotel Ella Derby Watch Party, Austin Food + Wine Festival Cancelled

FOOD: L’Oca d’Oro, a contemporary Italian restaurant located in the Mueller neighborhood, is slated to open this May. Perfect for celebrations and special events in a range of sizes, the restaurant will offer flexible table seating in its stunning, barrel-vaulted dining room for up to 65 guests. Additionally, the restaurant will offer two private dining options by reservation for large parties.

CHARITY: Save the Date for the 2017 Dell Children’s Believe Gala! Next year’s event will be pushed up a week to January 28th, 2017, and will be held at the Austin Convention Center.

DRINKS: The 2016 Official Drink of Austin cocktail competition finalists have been announced and include: District Kitchen + Cocktails, Geraldine’s, Central Standard, drink.well., Backbeat, Freedmen’s, Juliet Ristorante and Juniper.  Tickets are now on sale for the May 12th event, benefiting Austin Food & Wine Alliance.

MUSIC: The Deep Eddy Distillery Concert Series, presented by YETI, kicks off  April 27th with 100% of proceeds benefiting Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM)The series’ opening performance features an acoustic set from Reckless Kelly and an opening set from Jason Eady. Tickets are $25 and available online.

SPORTS: Hotel Ella hosts a viewing party for the 142nd annual Kentucky Derby on Saturday, March 7th at 5pm! Each ticket includes complimentary valet parking, lawn games, drink specials and TVs to watch “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports”. Derby hats are encouraged but not required. Tickets are $15.

FESTIVALS: This weekend’s Austin Food + Wine Festival has been cancelled. “Due to recent and ongoing inclement weather saturating the grounds of Auditorium Shores and Republic Square Park, all outdoor Austin Food + Wine Festival programming has been canceled. All paid ticket holders will be refunded the amount of purchase.”
