Crush AFWF After Party, Texas Young Masters, Art City Austin Collector's Reception, Austin Fashion Week Runway Nights, 'The Shop' Grand Opening

FOOD: Saturday, April 23rd, TRACE at W Austin will host Crush: A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream inspired food and wine event. The restaurant’s 5th annual late-night event, benefiting Austin Food & Wine Alliance, is open to the public. Tickets to this wine-centric event are $35 in advance/ $40 at the door.

ARTS: The Texas Cultural Trust and the Texas Commission on the Arts announced the 2016 Class of Texas Young Masters. This year’s class will be celebrated at a star-studded event Monday, April 25, at ZACH Theatre, featuring performances by Tosca String Quartet, The Peterson Brothers and the Blackshear Elementary Fine Arts Academy Chorus and special presentations by honorary chair First Lady Cecilia Abbott & special guest Holland Taylor.

FASHION: Austin Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow night and continues through next weekend. On closing night April 23rd, the Saturday Runway at the JW Marriott will honor AFW Style Setter Andrea McWilliams, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Ballet Austin. Tickets for the entire week of runway shows, parties and galleries are on sale now.

FESTIVALS: Art City Austin returns April 29 – May 1. The 2016 festival will include an evening reception at the Palmer Event Center on Friday, April 29. Tickets for The Collector’s Reception (from 6-7:30 pm) include a swag bag and a limited edition Art City Austin poster, in addition to complimentary food and drinks.

FASHION: To celebrate the May 4th Grand Opening of The Shop, Owner Eve Michaels will be showcasing one-of-a-kind jewelry that she has curated from around the globe. The show includes vintage Chanel, Henri, 1920’s art deco pieces and timeless jewelry from the 70’s to today. Ten percent of proceeds from jewelry and handbag sales will benefit the Leukemia Foundation.
