Healthier Texas Summit
October 25, 2018 @ 7:00 AM - October 26, 2018 @ 5:00 PM$50 – $250
The Healthier Texas Summit, powered by The University of Texas System and IT’S TIME TEXAS, draws thought leaders and professionals from all sectors around one shared vision: a healthier Texas with significantly reduced rates of obesity and preventable chronic disease. The event offers a mix of informative sessions, interactive workshops, town hall conversations, and symposiums with industry leaders. To break down industry silos and increase cross-sector collaboration, tracks at the Summit are flexible and cover what we believe to be the most influential forces in community and population health today. We encourage attendees to mix sessions in their own field with sessions on topics they are interested in but may know less about.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits will be available in numerous fields including: Continuing Medical Education (CME), Continuing Nursing Education (CNE), Community Health Workers (CHW), Community Health Education Specialist (CHES), Dieticians/Nutritionists (D/N), Human Resources (HR), K-12 Educator (TEA), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), and Social Work (SW).
Healthier Texas, a collaboration between The University of Texas System and IT’S TIME TEXAS, is a joint initiative designed to rapidly reduce the burden of preventable chronic disease in the Lone Star State.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Business leaders, educators, public health professionals, health benefits administrators, workplace wellness consultants, fitness professionals, health+med+tech innovators and collaborative members, health communications professionals, healthcare professionals, physicians, nurses, and other practitioners, civic leaders, nonprofit and government employees, students, parents, and the health and wellness community.
