Break the Cycle of Child Abuse: Upbring

April 25 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Free

Upbring is committed to breaking the generational cycle of child abuse by addressing its root causes. Upbring delivers services that produce measurable progress in five key areas: safety, life skills, education, health and vocation. Upbring uses the latest technologies and data to achieve its goals, but its faith-based roots remain as strong as the day it opened its doors more than 135 years ago as Lutheran Social Services of the South.

Come meet and hear from Ryan Park, Director of Innovation for Upbring Innovation Labs. Ryan is a mission-driven business leader and social entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, business development, business strategy, and making social change. He has 10+ years of diverse experience ranging from co-founding a full-service digital agency, consulting, and launching programs at venture-backed digital startups.

“The harsh realities of child abuse and neglect often extend beyond the four walls of a home and into the fiber of our communities—in many cases stemming from a cycle of crime, economic disparity, mental health disorders and substance abuse. Every case of child abuse is different from the next because every child is unique, and so are their needs.”

Upbring also developed its own online donation platform, and it has teamed up with some of the world’s largest retailers. We look forward to seeing you and to learning more this April!
