On October 27th, Carla and Jack McDonald threw open the doors to their chic Westside home for a cocktail party to celebrate the new book from Los Angeles chef to the stars, Lulu Powers. The McDonald’s are friends with Lulu and her photographer husband Stephen Danelian from their shared summers on Nantucket, so Carla was more than happy to create and execute an experience that dazzled the author with nods to her own recipes and tips for seemingly effortless entertaining.

Media, food and fashion types mingled while sampling delicious bites and drinks inspired by the book, as Lulu signed copies of “Food to Flowers: Simple, Stylish Food for Easy Entertaining” for the adoring crowd.
