RECAP: House Party raises $19,000 for RMHC

Friends of the House, the young professionals support group for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas, hosted their first House Party this May to raise funds for the cause. With nearly 150 guests and over $19,000 raised for Ronald McDonald House, the event was a smashing success.

Jenny Boone, Sarah McIntyre and Ginny Lewis
Shannon Ferguson, co-chair for the event, said, “We exceeded our fundraising goal, spread the word about Friends of the House and raised awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities, all while enjoying a truly fabulous party.”

Lytle Pressley Contemporary art gallery was pumped up with spinning by DJ el john Selector, tastes by Apothecary Café and beverages by Bacardi and KEG 1. The party continued on at Tacos & Tequila just down the street, which is perfect – who doesn’t love a post-party snack at TNT?

If you missed this year’s event, you should make plans to attend next year for this now annual event for Friends of the House and RMHC.
