Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The month of October is filled with amazing ways to fill your social calendar all while raising fund and bringing awareness to those affected by breast cancer.

We love these events because they are filled with the bright pink color of hope and the real-life, touching stories that give the disease it’s face of strength.

For the active set:

Texas Mamma Jamma kicks off the month with their annual ride. Instead of benefitting just one organization, the event spreads it’s proceeds out to 11 local charities that serve thousands of Central Texans. If you like your workout with a little challenge and style, Stiletto Stampede for the Cure™ takes over the Hill Country Galleria this month in a 100-meter dash of pink fashion benefiting Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

For the social butterflies:

The Pink Ball, Seton Development Board’s Annual Gala, hosts their black-tie affair at the Four Seasons with special guest Asleep at the Wheel rocking the night away. The younger generations of philanthropists have their own party, Boobie Bash 2, the second annual fundraiser for the Young Professionals for the Cure®.

For the foodie:

TRIO at the Four Season’s is hosting a Pancake Supper for Seton Shivers Cancer Center where 50% of proceeds go directly to the cause. If you can’t make it to the dinner, the Lobby Lounge upstairs will be selling a delicious Pink Ribbon Martini all month with proceeds also benefiting the Seton Shivers Cancer Center.

For the spa lover:
Those who book a “Pink Pedi” at AWAY® Spa at the W Austin throughout the month of October will be treated to complimentary pink prosecco during the treatment and a bottle of pink Essie polish to take home. AWAY® Spa will also donate 20% of the proceeds to the Stiletto Stampede for the Cure™.

We have many more events and ways Austin is giving back to the cause – see our full list that we will be updating all month:
